Background to The Trust

Basil Death was a successful businessman who lived in Highland Perthshire and who died, without heirs, in 2006.

He had a huge sense of social responsibility and wanted his estate to be used to support good causes, hence the establishment of The Basil Death Trust.  

Having lived in Perthshire, served in the Irish Guards and as a lifelong Roman Catholic, he wished the Trust to support local educational projects in Highland Perthshire, the Roman Catholic Church, and military charities, together with other good causes.
