We Support

The Basil Death Trust awards grants annually, generally up to £3,000 each, and invites applications from charities and projects principally supporting:

  • The advancement of education of children up to the age of 18 within Highland Perthshire, particularly in those areas within postcodes PH8, PH9, PH15, PH16 and PH18.
  • The Roman Catholic Church.
  • The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial  hardship or some other disadvantage, particularly those who have served / are serving in the British Armed Forces and their families.

The Basil Death Trust has a wide range of charitable objectives being:

  • The advancement of the Roman Catholic Faith
  • The advancement of education
  • The support of those who are in need by the reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage as the trustees consider to be appropriate
  • The prevention or relief of poverty
  • The advancement of health
  • The saving of lives at sea

The Trustees are keen to distribute the trust funds in accordance with Basil Death’s specific preferences and therefore will give priority to suitable applications within the principal areas above and the geographic areas with which Basil Death had a close personal association.
